WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian man was injured and another was arrested on Tuesday during a settler attack and Israeli military raid in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

Local sources reported that settlers severely beat Darwish al-Hajj Mohammad near the western entrance checkpoint of al-Mughayyir, causing head injuries. He was taken to a local medical center for treatment before being transferred to a hospital.

Israeli forces also arrested a Palestinian man in the al-Qata’ area of the village after assaulting him and confiscating his vehicle.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces conducted arrest raids on Tuesday in the Khillet al-Farra area, west of the town of Yatta, south of al-Khalil in the southern West Bank, detaining five Palestinians.

Local sources stated that Israeli forces stormed the area and arrested five Palestinians. Several other residents were reportedly assaulted during the raid.

The sources added that those detained were individuals who had been confronting settler attacks and defending themselves, their families, and their property amid escalating violence. They noted that Israeli forces provide protection and cover for settlers while carrying out such attacks.
