BETHLEHEM,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli settlers established a new illegal outpost on Sunday in the Al-Minya area, southeast of Bethlehem, just one day after a settler attack in nearby Wadi Sa’ir that left property damaged and livestock infrastructure destroyed.
Local sources reported that settlers erected tents on Palestinian-owned land as part of a broader campaign to displace residents under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces. The area has faced repeated assaults aimed at forcing Palestinian families to abandon their land.
Zayed Kawasba, head of the Al-Minya village council, warned that the move is part of a larger plan to isolate and annex parts of the West Bank. He called on international organizations to intervene and halt this escalating violation of the international law.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, 23 new settlement outposts have been established in the West Bank in the first half of 2025 alone, mostly pastoral, reflecting a growing settler expansion backed by the occupation army.
