WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A horde of extremist Jewish settlers started to set up a new illegal outpost in the southwest of Jericho in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources said that a group of settlers stormed Deir Qarantal area in the southwest of Jericho and pitched one tent as a prelude to seizing the area and building the outpost.
Last Thursday, settlers established a new outpost near the Auja spring, north of Jericho.
For decades, the Israeli occupation regime has been trying to impose its control over the West Bank, especially archeological and historic sites, in an attempt to expand settlements and Judaize Palestinian areas.
