WEST BANK,(Palestine Foundation Information Center)Seven Palestinian young men were shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the West Bank at dawn Wednesday, including six during an aerial attack on Tulkarem refugee camp.
According to local sources, six young men were killed and others were injured at dawn when an Israeli drone bombed a house and a gathering of citizens in Tulkarem camp.
One of the wounded citizens was reportedly kidnaped by Israeli forces from Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem.
Eyewitnesses said that an IOF drone fired two missiles at a house in al-Balawneh neighborhood in Tulkarem camp, killing six young citizens and injuring others.
The slain young men in Tulkarem were identified Uday al-Zayat, Rami al-Shumali, Ahmed Salit, Bassam al-Shafi’iee, Muhamed Abu Aneen, and Firas Abu Qamra.
The eyewitnesses added that the IOF besieged Thabet Thabet Hospital and Esraa Hospital and obstructed the movement of ambulance crews in different streets of Tulkarem as they were transporting wounded citizens from the bombed area.
Local sources said that resistance fighters attacked the Israeli forces during their raid, which started last night in Tulkarem, with live ammunition and explosive devices.
They added that the IOF blocked the entrances of Tulkarem with mounds of dirt and rocks, destroyed the camp’s roads, public infrastructure and private property with its bulldozers and detonated a room in al-Balawneh neighborhood.
In Qalqilya, medical sources said that a young man succumbed to a critical bullet injury in his chest at Darwish Nazzal Hospital after the IOF opened fire at him in Azzun town at dawn.
The martyr was identified as 30-year-old Amir Majd, a public vehicle driver in Qalqilya. Israeli soldiers opened fire at him and his friend Mohamed Suwaidan and injured them as they were going to visit a friend in Azzun.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers stopped the ambulance that was transporting the wounded young men for about one hour before kidnaping Suwaidan and allowing the evacuation of Majd after realizing that he was dying.
Meanwhile, the IOF stormed Qalqilya City and spread in different streets, with no reported arrests or clashes with local youths.
