Several Israelis injured as Yemeni missile hits central Israel

NAZARETH  (Palestine Foundation Information Center) At least 16 Israelis were injured at dawn Saturday when a missile fired from Yemen landed in the Jaffa area of Tel Aviv in central Israel (1948 occupied Palestine).

Sirens sounded throughout central Israel at 3:44 a.m., sending millions rushing to shelters from their beds, according to the Hebrew media.

14 other Israelis were bruised while rushing to shelters while seven others suffered psychological trauma.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army said that the Yemeni missile hit the Tel Aviv area after its air defense systems failed to intercept it.

Yemen’s armed forces and Ansarullah group claimed responsibility for the counterattack soon later, saying it had been carried out in response to Israel’s ongoing massacres in Gaza and its renewed aggression against the country.

This new missile attack from Yemen came only two days after the last one, and after Israeli warplanes carried out a major strike on the country.

Early on Thursday morning, a Yemeni missile was partially intercepted outside Israeli airspace by air defenses. However, the warhead did not explode in the air and crashed into an empty school building in the city of Ramat Gan, causing severe damage but no injuries, according to the Hebrew media.

On Friday, the Yemeni armed forces also announced it carried out multiple drone strikes on central and southern Israel, including a joint attack with the Iraqi resistance.

Last Thursday, the Israeli army launched violent aerial attacks on civilian facilities in Yemen’s capital city, Sana’a, and Hodeida port city, killing and injuring multiple citizens.
