WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens and injured another one during raids in the West Bank last night and on Tuesday morning.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped at dawn seven citizens after ransacking their homes in az-Zawiya town, west of Salfit.
In Ramallah, a young man was injured in his back when Israeli soldiers opened fire at his vehicle in al-Mazra’ah ash-Sharqiya town, east of Ramallah. He was rushed to a local hospital.
Meanwhile, the IOF kidnaped two teenagers under age 18 from their homes in al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah.
Israeli forces also stormed al-Bireh City in Ramallah and kidnaped two young men from an apartment building.
In al-Khalil, the IOF kidnaped two citizens from Yatta town and another one from the city.
Local sources said that the IOF raided several homes in Yatta town, set up multiple checkpoints at the entrances of al-Khalil, its towns, villages and refugee camps, and blocked roads in different areas of the province.
In Nablus, Israeli forces kidnaped a citizen from his home in Salem village and assaulted citizens from the same family during a raid on their home in Sebastia town.
In Bethlehem, the IOF kidnaped two citizens after interrogating them during raids on their homes in Aida refugee camp.
The IOF also detained about 50 young men following raids on homes in the refugee camps of Aida and Azza and herded them into a building, where Israeli officers embarked on harshly questioning them and severely beating them.
On Monday, the Israeli army uprooted about dozens of olive trees near a public road in al-Maniya village and Khilat al-Luz village in Bethlehem as a prelude to seizing them.
The IOF closed on the same day the Container checkpoint in the northeast of Bethlehem and fired stun grenades at Palestinian vehicles in both directions of the road.
Israeli forces also stormed different areas of Ramallah province, with no reported arrests, while two young brothers were taken prisoners at an IOF checkpoint near Kafr Qaddum village in eastern Qalqilya.
