WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A number of Palestinian citizens were kidnaped and others were injured last night and on Thursday morning when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched raids in different West Bank areas.
According to local sources, a young man was injured by IOF gunfire in his belly in Dura town, southwest of al-Khalil.
The sources added the IOF violently raided over 40 homes in Dura town at dawn and al-Tabaqa village, assaulted local residents and kidnaped a number of them.
Israeli forces also stormed the branch of the Palestinian trade union in the town and wreaked havoc on its contents.
Meanwhile, the large-scale IOF raid in the town forced the education directorate in southern al-Khalil to announce the closure of all Dura’s schools and kindergartens for one day.
The IOF reportedly kidnaped at least 10 citizens during raids in the towns of Dura, Beit Kahil and Idhna in al-Khalil province.
Two brothers were also kidnaped from al-Khalil City and another one from Tarqumiyah town, northwest of al-Khalil.
In east Jerusalem, Israeli police forces kidnaped two young men from their homes in Abu Dis town.
In Ramallah, the IOF detonated and burned at dawn some commercial stores and a printing facility belonging to a Palestinian detainee from Safa village.
The IOF also kidnaped two young men from Safa village and three others from Bireh City.
In Nablus, a young man suffered a bullet injury when Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at citizens in al-Ein refugee camp.
Local sources in the camp said that the IOF kidnaped the wounded young man and three other citizens, including a woman, following raids on homes.
In Jenin, one young man was taken prisoner during an IOF raid in al-Yamun town.
