WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Tuesday different West Bank areas and kidnaped and injured a number of Palestinian, amid clashes with local youths.
According to local sources, the IOF withdrew from al-Arroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil after kidnaping at least 13 young men.
The IOF also detained in the morning six shepherds in Khirbet al-Tuba hamlet in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil, for a while and then kidnaped two of them after a horde of extremist Jewish settlers beat them as they were grazing sheep in the area.
In a separate incident, the Palestinian health ministry said today that a citizen with a critical bullet injury in his head was evacuated from Bab az-Zawiya neighborhood in al-Khalil City, without providing details.
On Monday evening, violent clashes broke out between local youths from al-Khalil City and Israeli soldiers, who stormed the central district to protect Jewish settlers as they were touring an ancient site in the area.
Israeli forces also assaulted a number of Palestinian citizens near the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil City as settlers defiled the Islamic holy site for Sukkot holiday celebrations.
Recently, the Israeli army announced the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshipers for several days during the one-week Sukkot holiday to secure Jewish celebrations inside it.
In Nablus, Israeli forces and extremist settlers withdrew at dawn from Joseph’s Tomb area in the east of the city after storming it overnight for rituals. Clashes with local youths broke out in the area.
Meanwhile, local youths in Balata al-Balad neighborhood in the east of Nablus also clashed last night with Israeli soldiers, with no reported injuries.
A 15-year-old teenager suffered a bullet injury in his thigh during similar clashes with Israeli forces in Madama town, south of Nablus.
A 14-year-old child also suffered injuries after soldiers savagely assaulted him in Kafr Qallil village in southern Nablus.
A father and his son were also taken prisoners during an IOF raid in Qusra village, southeast of Nablus.
In Salfit, the IOF kidnaped a child and a young man after detaining and brutalizing a number of local youths in az-Zawiya village.
The IOF also kidnaped four citizens from different areas of Ramallah province and another citizen from Bireh City.
