WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens and injured young men during overnight and morning raids in different areas of the West Bank.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped at dawn three citizens from Nur Shams refugee camp and another one from Dinnaba suburb in the east of Tulkarem City.
In Ramallah, the IOF kidnaped two young men from their homes in Kafr Malik village and Beitunia town.
One young man was reportedly injured by IOF gunfire in Turmus Ayya town, north of Ramallah.
Israeli soldiers also savagely beat two young men, residents of as-Sawiya town, at the entrance of Sinjil town in Ramallah province and injured them.
One young was reportedly injured in his shoulder by IOF gunfire when Israeli soldiers opened fire at his car from a house they had seized yesterday in al-Mughayyir town, northeast of Ramallah.
In east Jerusalem, Israeli police officers severely beat a young man in Qalandia refugee camp and injured him before kidnaping him.
Last night, police forces stormed Abu Dis town in eastern Jerusalem, assaulted some citizens and fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at local residents before withdrawing without making arrests.
In al-Khalil, Israeli forces kidnaped a young man from his home in Halhul town.
Israeli forces also stormed Idhna town in the west of al-Khalil and ransacked two homes. Local sources said that soldiers raided the house of prisoner Shahada al-Jiyawi, who has been in jails for over 20 years, and seized a car belonging to his son Nimr.
In Jenin, armed clashes broke out in the morning between resistance fighters and Israeli forces in Qabatiya town.
Local sources said that the clashes started after Israeli forces aboard vehicles and bulldozers stormed Qabatiya and embarked on raiding homes.
At dawn, resistance fighters from the Tulkarem Brigade detonated an explosive device at an IOF vehicle in Jabel Nasser area in Nur Shams camp and opened fire at infiltrating special forces.
The Tulkarem Brigade, an affiliate of al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad, affirmed that a number of soldiers were injured during clashes in al-Damj neighborhood in Nur Shams camp.
