GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, transferred on Tuesday evening the remains of several deceased Israeli captives to the custody of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
During the war, multiple Israeli captives had been killed as a result of Israel’s relentless attacks on the Gaza Strip.
According to media reports, an ICRC convoy arrived in Gaza City in the evening to receive the remains of more Israeli captives.
The reports noted that Red Cross vehicles entered a secured location in Gaza City to complete the handover process.
Mediators, who brokered the ceasefire agreement over Gaza, understand that Hamas and its armed wing are having trouble locating all of the dead and are making around-the-clock efforts to find their remains in bombed areas.
ICRC has also said it will take time to hand over the remains of all the dead captives in Gaza, calling it a “massive challenge” owing to the difficulties of finding bodies in the rubble.
