Settler Attacks in West Bank Leave Palestinians Injured and Property Destroyed

WEST BANK, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)Israeli settlers launched a new wave of violent attacks across the occupied West Bank on Thursday, coinciding with the olive harvest season, leaving several Palestinians injured and causing extensive property damage in the governorates of Nablus, al-Khalil, and Salfit.

In Nablus, one Palestinian farmer was injured after settlers assaulted several farmers harvesting olives in the towns of Huwara and Burin, south of the city. Local sources reported that settlers attacked a farmer in the Ras Zeid area, west of Huwara, inflicting multiple injuries on his body.

In al-Khalil, settlers set fire to a residential tent belonging to Ali Mohammed al-Shawahin in Wadi al-Jawaya, near Masafer Yatta, after hurling a Molotov cocktail at it. The tent was completely burned down, along with stored animal feed.

Local activist Osama Makhmara confirmed that no injuries were reported, as the family was not present at the time of the attack.

Masafer Yatta has witnessed an escalating campaign of settler violence in recent days, including two attempted car-ramming attacks targeting children and civilians in Shaab al-Butum and Khallet al-Dab’a, as well as another ramming incident earlier this week that injured a woman and her two children at the northern entrance of Yatta.

In Salfit, settlers assaulted Palestinian farmer Mahmoud Abdul Rahman Raddad and his wife while they were working on their land between the towns of al-Zawiya and Rafat.

Eyewitnesses said the settlers came from a nearby illegal outpost, beat the couple severely, expelled them from their land, and stole the olive harvest they had gathered.

These recurring assaults reflect a systematic campaign of terror aimed at forcing Palestinian farmers off their lands. The Israeli occupation forces routinely turn a blind eye, or actively protect settlers, during such attacks, reinforcing an environment of impunity and collective intimidation.
