BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation army continued to escalate its aggression on Lebanon, for the third consecutive day, launching raids on the Saadiyat area south of Beirut at dawn Wednesday, as part of a series of attacks on several areas in eastern and southern Lebanon.
A Lebanese security source said that an Israeli airstrike hit the Saadiyat area near Beirut at dawn Wednesday, a few hours after a raid on the southern suburb of the capital.
He added that the Israeli attack on Saadiyat, which is located on the Lebanese coast 20 kilometers south of Beirut, targeted a warehouse with no material or human losses reported.
Al-Jazeera reported that Israeli warplanes launched raids on several towns in the Baalbek district in eastern Lebanon also at dawn.
According to the National News Agency, Israeli overnight attacks were extended to the city of Baalbek and its outskirts, leading to many martyrs and wounded in addition to the destruction of property including homes, factories, warehouses, stores, and even schools.
The windows of the houses surrounding the targeted areas were shattered as a result of the force of the attacks, it added.
The Israeli air force also launched raids targeting the Al-Hamila area near Houmin Al-Fawqa in the Iqlim Al-Tuffah region, and the vicinity of the towns of Midoun and Sahmar in the western Bekaa, east of Lebanon, causing electricity cut off in the Mashghara plain.
