GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center ) The Hamas Movement has criticized the UN for allowing a war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court to lecture at its headquarters in New York about justice, humanity and rights, while he daily violates them in the Gaza Strip, calling it a “paradox.”
“In response to the UN General Assembly speech by war criminal Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, which saw a walkout by the majority of the attendees from different countries, leaving him isolated and speaking only to himself and a handful of supporters, we in the Hamas Movement affirm that his repeated lies and blatant denial of the genocide, forced displacement and systematic starvation that are committed by him and his fascist army against our people in Gaza cannot erase the undeniable truths documented by UN and international reports,” Hamas said in a statement on Friday evening.
“Netanyahu’s persistent use of dark propaganda and fabricated narratives about the October 7th events is nothing but a desperate attempt to revive a discredited storyline that has already unraveled before the global public opinion. His continued invocation of ‘anti-Semitism’ has become a threadbare excuse to deflect mounting international criticism of the genocide and starvation he has been carrying out in Gaza for the past 23 months,” Hamas added.
Hamas also said that Netanyahu’s false claims justifying his continued aggression against Gaza City, including allegations of resistance fighters being present in the targeted buildings, serve only as a flimsy pretext to mask well-documented war crimes and crimes against humanity committed daily against children and defenseless civilians.”
Hamas refuted Netanyahu’s claim that it seeks to kill Jews around the world, calling it part of a systematic campaign to demonize the Palestinian people and their legitimate national resistance.
“The Movement and the Palestinian resistance have repeatedly affirmed that their struggle is solely directed against the occupation that exists on our land and in our holy sites,” Hamas highlighted.
