SANA’A, (Palestine Foundation Information Center ) Yemen’s armed forces have claimed responsibility for the drone attack on the southern port city of Eilat that wounded at least 22 Israelis on Wednesday evening.
In a statement last night, military spokesman Yehya Sariee said that the Yemeni armed forces fired two drones before sunset, targeting locations in Eilat and Beersheba, adding that the operation achieved its objectives successfully.
Yemen’s armed forces affirmed its operations are carried out in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the Israeli genocidal crimes in Gaza.
The armed forces applauded the Palestinian resistance in Gaza for their steadfastness and the heroic sacrifices they make to defend the Ummah, vowing to continue defending the Palestinian people until the Israeli occupation ends its aggression and siege in Gaza.
In a related context, thousands of Yemeni students, academics and administrators at Sana’a University held another weekly protest against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
The participants carried Yemeni and Palestinian flags alongside banners affirming Yemen’s unwavering support for Gaza.
This week’s demonstration, held Wednesday, carried a strong warning to Arab rulers to act immediately to support the Palestinian people and address their suffering.
