NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Palestinian citizens were treated for tear gas inhalation on Friday following the incursion of Israeli occupation forces (IOF) into the town of Beita, south of Nablus, and the village of Kafr Qaddum in Qalqilya, in the West Bank.
IOF soldiers stormed the town of Beita from several directions, firing sound bombs and teargas canisters at the citizens, which led to clashes and resulted in several people suffering from suffocation. They were treated on-site.
Violent clashes also erupted between the youth and occupation forces after their incursion into the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus. Soldiers fired teargas and live ammunition at the youths and the homes and citizens’ property in the town.
In a related context, clashes broke out with IOF soldiers in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya. The clashes erupted following the weekly march condemning the crimes of the occupation and its ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, and demanding the reopening of the village street that has been closed since 2003.
The IOF soldiers fired sound bombs and toxic tear gas at the citizens, with no injuries reported.
