GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Mohammed Salha, the Director of the Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, has said that the hospital would halt services soon if not supplied with fuel, medical supplies, and medications.
Salha said in a statement on Monday that the hospital cannot deal with the overflow of patients and wounded, especially with the lack of specialized cadres.
He added that the hospital receives dozens of wounded persons daily especially after the Kamal Awdan Hospital went out of service.
The hospital director appealed to the World Health Organization (WHO) to expedite sending medicines, fuel, and medical supplies to his hospital to enable it offer medical services to those in need in northern Gaza.
Salha urged WHO to send a team of surgeons in various specialities to cope with the growing number of those in need of various operations in the region.
“The situation in northern Gaza is catastrophic, all free people of the world should interfere to end the ongoing genocide in the area,” he concluded.
