RABAT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Thousands of Moroccans took to the streets in Casablanca on Sunday in solidarity with Gaza and in rejection of the ongoing Israeli genocide, holding events that simulate the suffering of the Palestinians in the war-torn Gaza Strip.
The massive rally, called for by the Moroccan Front to Support Palestine, toured the city’s main streets including Abu Shuaib ad-Dukkali Street before heading to Abdullah al-Sunhaji Street, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent.
The demonstrators expressed their rejection of the continued killing, displacement, and destruction of all aspects of life in Gaza, calling for continued support for the Palestinian cause.
The rally, which raised the slogan “Support the resistance and stop the genocide in Gaza”, was attended by human rights activists along with the citizens.
The participants waved the flags of Palestine and Morocco, pictures of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and others showing the extent of the destruction caused by the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
Many activities were organized during the massive march including setting up tents symbolizing the tragedies of displacement of the Palestinians in Gaza, with other tents showing infants wearing blood-stained robes and other people wearing clothes symbolizing the Palestinian resistance.
The activities also included presenting models showing the extent of Palestinians’ suffering from severe shortage of food and water, the destruction, and the Israeli displacement plans.
The Moroccan participants chanted slogans in support of Gaza, showing solidarity with the Palestinians and the unity of the Palestinian and Moroccan peoples.
