DAMASCUS, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Three Syrian civilians were injured on Tuesday evening after Israeli occupation forces opened fire on them at a military checkpoint set up between the town of Khan Arnabeh and the village of Ain Aisha in northern Quneitra countryside.
According to a SANA correspondent in Quneitra, an Israeli force consisting of five military vehicles loaded with soldiers set up a checkpoint on the old highway between the two areas. The soldiers then opened fire and threw smoke grenades at civilians, blocking passage and directly injuring three civilians.
Earlier that same day, an Israeli force composed of two military vehicles, one armored and the other a Humvee, advanced from the Al-Adnaniyah point and set up a temporary checkpoint on the road between the towns of Jaba and Khan Arnabeh on the Salam Highway, without conducting any searches.
Israel continues to carry out violations and breaches of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa and targeting civilians. In response, Syria has repeatedly reaffirmed its demand for an end to the Israeli occupation of its territory, urging the international community to take responsibility and halt these actions.
