OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre)A Palestinian child was critically injured last night by Israeli gunfire in Occupied Jerusalem.
According to local sources, 15-year-old Abed al-Zaghal was seriously injured in his head when a police officer opened fire at him in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, south of the Aqsa Mosque.
However, eyewitnesses said that a Jewish guard working for a settler outpost in the neighborhood shot the kid who was walking in a nearby street.
Following the shooting incident, Israeli police forces reportedly stormed the neighborhood and had the kid transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
Earlier, a Palestinian young man was injured when Israeli police forces stormed in the evening as-Salam neighborhood in Anata town, east of Jerusalem.
In a separate incident, a Palestinian young man with special needs was reportedly injured on the same day when Israeli forces opened fire at him and others during clashes with local youths near a military checkpoint at the southern entrance of Qalqilya City.
