Three West Bankers injured, others kidnaped in Israeli raids

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center )  A number of Palestinian citizens sustained injuries and others were kidnaped on Wednesday morning in Israeli attacks in different areas of the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources, Israeli forces savagely assaulted a young man and his mother from the family of Makhamra after raiding their home in al-Baraka neighborhood in Yatta town, south of al-Khalil.

The young man, Youssef, and his mother, Khawla, suffered injuries and were transferred to the hospital.

The Israeli forces also kidnaped Youssef’s brother and took him to an unknown location.

A horde of extremist Jewish settlers also beat citizens form the family of Mohamed al-Jabarin in the Shaab al-Batim area of Masafer Yatta, injuring a woman called Shaimaa al-Jabarin. She was rushed to a hospital for medical assistance.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) set up more checkpoints and closed roads in different areas of al-Khalil province, further restricting the movement of Palestinian citizens.

Earlier this morning, Israeli forces raided several villages in Jenin province, including the town of Sanur in the south, where they spread through its streets, which prompted schools to suspend classes to protect students’ lives.

The IOF reportedly kidnaped two young men who were riding a motorcycle in al-Marah neighborhood of Jenin city, and raided several homes in the town of Ya’bad, including the residence of mayor Amjad Atatira.

On Tuesday evening, Israeli forces fired live bullets and tear gas canisters, chasing civilians at the entrance of Idhna town. Meanwhile, they converted a house in Beit Awwa town, west of al-Khalil, into a military post.

The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank last night and today, with no reported arrests.
