ANKARA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center)Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with a delegation from Hamas in Ankara on Wednesday.
“President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Muhammad Darwish, the head of Hamas Shura Council, and the Hamas delegation at the Presidential Complex,” Türkiye Directorate of Communications said.
The meeting was also attended by key Turkish officials, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Intelligence Organization chief Ibrahim Kalin, and Communications Director Fahrettin Altun.
Erdogan told the delegation in the meeting that Hamas’s “471-day struggle in Gaza reaffirmed the spirit of resistance will endure.”
Türkiye did not leave the Palestinians alone for a single moment in their struggle against injustice, Erdogan reportedly said, expressing hope for the successful completion of the Gaza ceasefire.
Erdogan has often expressed Türkiye’s strong stance on the Palestinian issue and has maintained communication with both Hamas and international actors regarding the Israeli genocide.
