ANKARA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israel’s ground operation in Gaza’s Rafah, a day after Hamas delivered its acceptance of a ceasefire proposal, has shown that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is not acting in good faith, Türkiye’s foreign ministry spokesman said, adding Israel must immediately withdraw from the border area.
In a post on social media platform X on Tuesday, a spokesman for the ministry Öncü Keçeli says Israel’s operation in Rafah comes amid a positive development toward ending destruction and genocide in Gaza.
Keceli stressed the need to restore the status quo in Rafah and the border crossing without further delay.
“An attack on Rafah will affect not only the region but the whole world. Israel must immediately withdraw from the Gaza side of the Rafah border crossing,” he underscored.
