Two Israelis were injured by gunfire in a “security incident” on the Egyptian border on Saturday morning, the Hebrew media quoted an Israeli military source as saying.
Hours later, the Israeli occupation army claimed there was a new exchange of fire in a border area, according to The Times of Israel website.
“This morning there was a security incident in the Paran Regional Brigade area,” a spokesperson for the Israeli army said.
The Hebrew news website, Walla, said that gunmen opened fire at Israeli soldiers on the border with Egypt in Negev, injuring some of them.
Other news reports said that the incident occurred near the Nit Zana border crossing with Egypt, which is used as a commercial terminal.
