The two administrative detainees, Kayed Al-Fasfous, and Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Masalmeh have continued their open hunger strike in Israeli jails for seven days.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) revealed, in a statement issued Tuesday, that Al-Fasfous and Al-Masalmeh started their strike on May 31 in protest against their administrative detention.
Al-Fasfous, 34, has been detained since May 2, 2023, and held under administrative detention for six months.
Al-Fasfous earlier spent seven years behind Israeli bars in separate arrests. He waged a 131-day hunger strike in 2021 against his administrative detention.
For his part, Al-Masalmeh was detained on February 20, 2023, and held in administrative detention for four months.
Al-Masalma was earlier detained in 2016 and 2019, and most recently in 2023.
1,083 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli jails under administrative detention.
