Two Palestinians were martyred early Monday morning after being shot by Israeli forces and settlers in Nablus and al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
According to media sources, a Palestinian young man was declared dead at dawn after succumbing to a severe gunshot wound sustained last night during an Israeli military raid in Beit Furik town in eastern Nablus, north of the West Bank.
The Palestinian health ministry said that 17-year-old Jamil Hannani succumbed to a critical bullet injury in his chest after Israeli soldiers prevented paramedics from providing him with first aid.
Later, the young man was rushed to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus City, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Local sources reported that the young man was seriously injured on Sunday night during clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in the town.
In al-Khalil, a young man was shot dead by an extremist Jewish settler in the Ras al-Joura area.
Local sources said that a settler opened fire at a young man and critically injured him near the northern entrance of al-Khalil before a horde of settlers and soldiers closed the area and prevented paramedics from evacuating him.
Later, medical sources said the young man succumbed to his injury at dawn Monday.
