OCCUPIED JERUSALEM(Palestine Foundation Information Center)Two Palestinian resistance fighters were shot dead on Thursday morning after they carried out a shooting operation that killed three Jewish settlers and injured at least six others, some of them seriously, near the illegal settlement of Ramot in Occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Hebrew media, two settlers were killed on the scene, while another was in critical condition, three others were seriously wounded, and three others were in light to moderate condition. One of the wounded settlers was pronounced dead later.
Two resistance fighters reportedly arrived at the scene in a vehicle armed with firearms. They opened fire at settlers and one car at a bus station near the settlement and were subsequently shot dead by security forces and an armed settler.
In this regard, senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mirdawi has applauded the shooting operation in Jerusalem as a “heroic act” and a “natural response to the Israeli war crimes in Gaza and the killing of two children in Jerusalem on Wednesday.”
“This response is a clear message to the occupation that its crimes will not go unpunished and that our people do not forget their martyrs’ blood and the agonies of the wounded, the prisoners and the displaced,” Mirdawi said in press remarks.
