Two Palestinians killed in IOF West Bank raids

WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Two Palestinians were killed on Tuesday as the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their aggression in the northern West Bank, coinciding with widespread demolition and forced displacement operations in the Jenin, Nur Shams, and Tulkarem refugee camps.

Medical sources announced that Khaled Saleh Qaraan, 25, was killed by Israeli gunfire during the IOF raid into the Kfar Saba neighborhood in Qalqilya at dawn Tuesday.

Three other citizens were wounded during the raid.

According to local sources, Khaled Qaraan was scheduled to be married after Eid al-Fitr. Israeli special forces opened fire on a café in the Kfar Saba neighborhood, killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, the wounded ex-prisoner Kazem Zawahra was martyred only a few weeks after his release during Gaza prisoner exchange and ceasefire deal.

Zawahra breathed his last at Al-Hussein Hospital in Bethlehem, shortly after his release as part of the first phase of the exchange deal.

He was seriously wounded by Israeli gunfire a year ago, along with his brother, the martyr Muhammad Zawahra, and the martyr Ahmed Al-Wahsh, after carrying out an anti-occupation attack near Occupied Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Israeli tanks stormed Jenin City and its refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

Local sources reported that the IOF soldiers patrolled the city streets and took up positions along the main roads separating the camp from the city. They also stormed neighborhoods at the entrance to Jenin camp and raided several homes whose owners were forcibly displaced.

The media committee in Jenin camp reported that the Israeli authorities have issued orders to confiscate approximately 500 dunums of land since the beginning of the ongoing aggression in Jenin. 3,200 homes were also evacuated in the camp, displacing 21,000 people.

The Israeli occupation army continues its aggression on Jenin and its camp for the 57th consecutive day, amid an escalation in bulldozing and demolition operations.

Along the same line, the Israeli forces forced residents of the Jabal al-Salihin area in the Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank, to evacuate their homes and leave the camp as part of their military aggression on the city.

Israeli authorities earlier announced the intention to demolish dozens of homes in the area.

The Israeli forces continue their aggression on Tulkarem City for the 51st consecutive day, and on the Nur Shams camp for the 38th consecutive day.

The ongoing Israeli aggression in the northern West Bank resulted in 74 martyrs, the displacement of approximately 40,000 residents, the destruction of infrastructure, and the demolition of a large number of homes.
