WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Two Palestinian young men were martyred on Tuesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at them in Ramallah and al-Khalil in the West Bank.
According to local sources, 16-year-old Amjad Hoshiya died from wounds sustained by IOF gunfire in the central area of Ramallah City.
The sources said that a large number of Israeli troops stormed Ramallah City at dawn while firing live ammunition, provoking skirmishes with local youths.
The IOF reportedly raided several homes and interrogated young men during its raid in Ramallah.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces shot dead a young man identified as Samer az-Zagharna near ad-Dhahiriya checkpoint in al-Khalil.
Later, a Palestinian ambulance crew transferred martyr Zagharna to the Dura Hospital in Dura City, southwest of al-Khalil province, after receiving his body form the Israeli army.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian citizen identified as 43-year-old Kifah Khalil suffered a bullet injury in his leg when an Israeli soldier opened fire at him as he was crossing the Ush Ghurab checkpoint in eastern Bethlehem. He was admitted to the hospital for medical assistance.
The IOF also stormed al-Khader town in southern Bethlehem and kidnaped two citizens from their homes.
