Two police officers, child killed in Deir el-Balah airstrike

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Four Palestinians, including two police officers and a 12-year-old child, were killed on Wednesday afternoon in an Israeli airstrike targeting Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.

According to the General Directorate of Police, the victims were killed and others wounded when Israeli warplanes struck a group of police officers west of al-Ansar Mosque, in the heart of the city.

The victims were identified as Captain Mureed Farajallah, Lieutenant Younis al-Masharfa, 21-year-old civilian Youssef Wafi Mansi, and 12-year-old Youssef Mohammed al-Atrash, who was killed while passing by the area at the time of the strike.

Israeli forces continue to carry out deadly airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, targeting residential homes, shelters, and tents housing displaced civilians—actions that constitute grave breaches of international humanitarian law and are tantamount to war crimes.

According to medical sources, the total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since the early hours of Wednesday has risen to 65, as the death toll continues to climb amid relentless attacks on civilian areas.
