TUBAS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Two Palestinian resistance fighters were martyred on Monday afternoon in an Israeli shelling that targeted the city of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank. Local sources confirmed the martyrdom of two young men and reported that the occupation army had seized their bodies after their martyrdom.
Israeli drones targeted a group of citizens in the Safah area, north of Tubas, leading to their martyrdom. Reports indicated that the occupation forces had prevented ambulance crews from reaching the site. Media sources stated that the martyrs were the resistance fighters: Odeh Radwan Daraghmeh “Al-Shahrouri” and Khalil Majdi Al-Masri.
Activists reported that the mother of the wanted Al-Shahrouri passed away this morning. The occupation army stormed Tubas and besieged the mourning house, leading to clashes in the area, and later, the occupation shelled the location.
Clashes and armed confrontations erupted following a raid by Israeli special forces in the city of Tubas. A special force from the occupation army infiltrated the city and raided a commercial shop, “Al-Khaleej Exchange” on the main street in the town, while soldiers fired tear gas in the area.
The occupation army sent military reinforcements accompanied by military bulldozers from the Tayaseer checkpoint towards the city. Armed confrontations broke out between the resistance fighters and the invading forces in Tubas, amid a heavy presence of occupation forces in several areas of the city.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, said that their fighters in Tubas Governorate are engaged in fierce armed clashes with enemy soldiers near the main street in the city.
Parallel to the extermination war that the occupation army has been waging on the Gaza Strip for the past 14 months, the occupation army and its settlers have escalated their aggression against the West Bank, resulting in 810 martyrs and more than 11,900 Palestinian detainees since October 7, 2023.
