GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center ) A UN spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, has called for the protection of medical and media personnel in the Gaza Strip, urging swift investigations into the attacks targeting them.
“Recent horrific massacres in Gaza underscore the dangers faced by medical staff and journalists,” Dujarric stated in a press briefing on Monday.
In a brutal escalation earlier today, the Israeli occupation army repeatedly struck the Nasser Medical Complex in central Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 20 individuals. The fatalities included five journalists, as well as multiple doctors and civil defense volunteers who rushed to save the wounded. Numerous injuries were also reported.
Additionally, journalist Hasan Douhan was fatally shot by Israeli forces this evening inside his tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.
