Gaza(Palestine Foundation Information Center)The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has confirmed that “45,000 pregnant women and 68,000 breastfeeding women in Gaza face the risk of anemia, bleeding, and death.”
According to a post published by the Fund on its “X platform” account on Sunday, it stated that pregnant and breastfeeding women in Gaza face a “severe lack of food.”
It emphasized that “the severe food shortage in Gaza exposes pregnant and breastfeeding women to the risk of anemia, pregnancy poisoning, bleeding, and even death.”
Since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, 18,787 citizens have been killed, while the number of injured has reached 50,897, with 70% of the victims being women and children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Lazzarini added in press statements that “the situation in Gaza is unprecedented and shocking.”
