GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The United Nations has warned that unless a solution is reached in the coming days, the entire humanitarian relief operation in Gaza could come to a halt.
UN Secretary-General spokesperson Farhan Haq stated that fuel stocks in Gaza are critically low, increasing pressure on essential services and humanitarian operations.
He explained that the UN has repeatedly tried to access fuel supplies to retrieve them, but Israel has refused.
Haq reiterated the UN’s position on the urgent need for a permanent ceasefire, the release of all captives, and unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza.
He also expressed the UN’s concern over any attempts to obstruct the movement of ships in international waters, stressing that such actions are a serious cause for concern.
