NEW YORK(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned on Tuesday of the continued use of “lethal war-like tactics” in the West Bank, including airstrikes with people being killed, injured and displaced.”
The Office said in a statement that “the Israeli operations have resumed in Tulkarem and continued in Jenin.”
It added that “the United Nations recorded more than twenty deaths in the past week, including children.”
OCHA explained that “at the time of the assessment, 13,000 people in the Nur Shams refugee camp were cut off from water, due to damage to the water network, and sewage flooding was observed. Teams also noted that residents were suffering from trauma and needed psychosocial support.”
The Israeli occupation forces launched, at dawn last Wednesday, a military operation, the largest since the Operation Defensive Shield in 2002, targeting resistance fighters in the cities of Jenin, Tulkarem and Tubas in the northern West Bank, where large Israeli forces invaded all areas, cities and camps in the northern West Bank from several axes.
