UNRWA: Gaza becoming uninhabitable amid lack of humanitarian aid

GAZA  (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Tuesday that “the Gaza Strip has become uninhabitable place, after more than 3 months of the Israeli ongoing war on the Strip.”

UNRWA’s spokesman Adnan Abu Hasna explained that Gaza is now the worst place on earth in terms of living conditions, as most of its population is being pushed towards the city of Rafah, near the Egyptian border.

Abu Hasna pointed out that the population of Rafah has now reached 1.4 million displaced people besieged in the Strip amid almost absolute lack of humanitarian aid and basic services.

Abu Hasna quoted the Government Media Office (GMO) as saying that two million displaced people are currently living under very harsh living conditions in hundreds of displacement and shelter centers, while in urgent need for aid and food supplies, highlighting that the overcrowding has led to the spread of diseases including 400,000 recorded cases of infectious diseases.
