GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said the Gaza Strip has been witnessing the most intense bombing against civilians never witnessed since World War II.
This came in a statement issued by the UN agency on Friday, marking the “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People,” which comes for the second time during the ongoing Israeli genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
UNRWA said, “the plight of Palestinian refugees remains the longest unresolved refugee crisis in the world”, stressing “the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Strip.”
The UN agency explained that “the Gaza Strip has witnessed since October 2023 the most intense bombardment of civilians since World War II.”
The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People was declared by the UN in 1977.
