NEW YORK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Wednesday “Hospitals in Gaza have become death traps.”
UNRWA explained, in a post on X, that families in Gaza are torn apart, children are dying of cold, and hunger is cutting lives short, demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Strip.
UNRWA’s statements come in light of the ongoing bombing and direct targeting of hospitals, in an effort to eliminate the health system in the north and south of the Strip, as the three public hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, Kamal Adwan, Beit Hanoun, and the Indonesian Hospital, have gone out of service, due to the escalating Israeli aggression.
Only 14 out of 36 hospitals in Gaza are now operating, while facing severe shortage of supplies, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
