OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestinian Information Center) Two Israelis were injured on Friday, one seriously and one moderately, in a stabbing attack in Kibbutz Tzova, which is built on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian village of Suba in occupied Jerusalem.
An Israeli medical team confirmed upon arriving at the scene that one of the victims was in critical condition and receiving intensive treatment, while the other was in moderate condition.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man from Shuafat refugee camp suspected of carrying out the attack and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Israeli sources reported that one of the victims was working at the hotel where the attack took place, noting that the incident triggered a major security alert in the area.
Occupation forces were heavily deployed around Kibbutz Tzova, closed the surrounding roads, and imposed movement restrictions on residents as investigations continue to determine the attacker’s motives and whether he had any connection to organized groups.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, confirmed that the heroic stabbing attack carried out by one of Palestine’s heroes in Jerusalem this Friday afternoon was a natural response to the crimes of the “terrorist enemy” and its settler militias. Hamas said the operation delivered a new blow to the occupation’s security apparatus and its illusions of halting the growing tide of resistance in the hearts of the Palestinian people.
In a statement on Friday, Hamas said that the ongoing operations carried out by the revolutionary youth of Palestine against the criminal occupation soldiers are happening in the midst of the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as “the enemy’s crimes that have reached neighboring Arab countries, the most recent being the targeting of the Movement’s negotiating delegation in Doha, Qatar.”
The Movement stressed that confronting the occupier remains the natural response to its crimes and massacres in Gaza, the settler attacks on cities and villages in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and its relentless attempts to impose annexation and forced displacement.
Hamas expressed support for the steadfast Palestinian youth who, with their unyielding will, embody a firm resolve to confront the occupation. The Movement called on the masses of the Palestinian people to continue resisting by all means until the enemy is expelled from Palestinian land and holy sites.
