GAZA, (The Palestinian Information Center) Since dawn on Sunday, the Israeli occupation army have completely destroyed more than 50 buildings and partially damaged about 100 others, including high-rise buildings housing thousands of thousands of civilians, according to Gaza’s civil defense service.
Spokesman for the civil defense Mahmoud Basal said that the Israeli army deliberately targets buildings surrounded by tents and shelter centers, adding that more than 200 tents had been destroyed following the bombing of adjacent buildings.
Spokesman Basal added that today’s Israeli attacks on Gaza City targeted the remaining mosques and sports facilities.
The spokesman pointed out that civil defense crews received distress calls from citizens trapped under the rubble in the al-Zarqa area of al-Tuffah neighborhood after the Israeli army bombed a building with no prior notice.
He said that civil defense workers are extremely exhausted due to the intensity of attacks on the city, noting that today is considered one of “the most difficult days of the war” since it resumed on March 18, 2025.
He called on the international community to take urgent action to curb Israel’s ongoing massacres in Gaza City.
