TULKAREM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Waves of forced displacement from Tulkarem city and its two refugee camps have escalated as the Israeli aggression on Tulkarem city and Camp enters its 40th consecutive day on Friday, and the offensive on Nur Shams Camp enters the 27th day, amid intensive military reinforcements, raids, and home demolitions.
The media committee in Tulkarem Camp said that the Israeli occupation forces’ invasion of the city and its camps led to the martyrdom of 13 people, and the displacement of about 25,000 citizens from Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps, including 12,000 from Tulkarem Camp, and 13,000 from Nur Shams Camp.
Israeli occupation forces continue their home demolitions and destruction of infrastructure, preventing people and civil defense crews from opening closed roads in the city, in addition to cutting off all basic services to the two camps.
The demolition and destruction of homes and facilities affected 632 homes and other structures, while Israeli occupation forces arrested about 190 citizens during the intensive arrest campaigns in both camps.
