WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A horde of extremist Jewish settlers blocked several agricultural roads used by Palestinian farmers in the Beit Furik plain, east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, on Tuesday.
According to local sources, settlers, coming from an illegal outpost established near the plain, closed several agricultural roads with mounds of dirt and stones.
These road closures prevented Palestinian farmers from reaching and working their lands.
Local officials said that settler violations in this area threaten the livelihood of dozens of Palestinian families and cause direct damage to agricultural crops, amid the absence of any protection and the continued collusion of Israeli forces.
In a separate incident, armed settlers bulldozed large tracts of Palestinian land in the town of al-Dhahiriya, south of al-Khalil, on Monday, and started building a new road.
Local sources said that a group of armed settlers started constructing a new settlement road on lands belonging to the Abu Sharkh family in the al-Deir area of the town. This road branches off from the road that the Israeli army had built on citizens’ lands in the same area about 10 days ago.
