West Bank Sweep: IOF Arrests, Settlers Attack Mosque in Nablus

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued raids and incursions into several cities and towns across the West Bank last night and early Thursday morning, accompanied by widespread arrest campaigns amid heavy tear gas use. Meanwhile, Jewish settlers escalated their attacks by setting fire to a mosque in the village of Duma, southeast of Nablus.

The IOF stormed the Shuweika suburb north of the city of Tulkarem, where they raided several homes and carried out an arrest campaign during their ongoing incursion into the area.

In eastern Qalqilya, the IOF raided the town of Azzun, storming several homes and arresting two young men during the operation.

The IOF troops also stormed the town of Beita, south of Nablus, continuing to raid residents’ homes and carry out a large-scale arrest campaign, alongside an incursion into the neighboring village of Urif.

In the southern West Bank, the IOF entered the city of Dura, south of al-Khalil, and fired tear gas. They also arrested a child during a raid on the city of al-Khalil.

In the Jenin governorate, the Israeli forces continued their incursion into the village of Bir al-Basha, south of the city, conducting searches and raids on homes.

The IOF also stormed the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, as part of a series of raids targeting several areas across the West Bank.

In a related development, settler groups set fire to a mosque in the village of Duma, southeast of Nablus, and wrote hostile graffiti on its walls.
