WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The West Bank and Jerusalem witnessed a significant escalation on the ground from last night through early Friday morning, as Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out a series of raids alongside intensified settler attacks in multiple areas, particularly in the northern Jordan Valley and east of Nablus.
IOF military vehicles stormed the city of Tubas, the town of Aqaba to the north, and Wadi al-Far’a to the south, where homes were raided and searched.
At the same time, Israeli settlers attacked the Hammamat al-Malih area in the northern Jordan Valley, vandalizing residents’ vehicles and physically assaulting the head of the local council in an attempt to intimidate residents and forcibly displace them from their land.
In Nablus, the IOF soldiers continued their operations by raiding the village of Bazariya northwest of the city and advancing from the western side of al-Murabba checkpoint toward Ein refugee camp, where sound grenades were heavily used during search operations.
Meanwhile, settlers escalated attacks in the al-Amawi community near the village of Ein Shibli, northeast of Nablus, targeting unarmed civilians’ homes under the protection of Israeli forces. The assaults caused widespread fear among residents and significant damage to private property.
In Tulkarem, IOF raids focused on the towns of Attil, Deir al-Ghusun, Zeita, Allar, and Saida. Israeli forces conducted house raids and arrested journalist Hammam Attili from his home in Attil, just two days after his release from PA jails, where he had been held for 441 days.
Israeli forces also detained another Palestinian after raiding his home in the town of Allar.
Further south, in al-Khalil, Israeli forces intensified their presence by raiding al-Fawwar refugee camp, as well as the towns of al-Rihiya, Beit Ummar, and the Safa area. IOF soldiers stormed multiple homes, causing extensive damage amid heightened security measures.
Raids also extended to Bethlehem, where the IOF entered the area of Janata al-Arouj to the east.
In Ramallah, IOF closed the entrance gate of the town of Turmus Ayya, restricting residents’ movement and effectively isolating the area as part of ongoing measures imposed across the West Bank.
