TULKAREM,(The Palestine Information Centre)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) prevented on Monday the wife of Palestinian prisoner Abbas as-Sayed from crossing through the military checkpoint of Taiba to visit her husband in Ramon jail.
The prisoner’s wife, Umm Abdullah as-Sayed, said that the IOF forced her at the checkpoint to go back to Tulkarem, although she had a permit.
She pointed out that Israeli officers deliberately barred her from visiting her husband while allowing relatives of other prisoners to travel through the checkpoint.
Prisoner Sayed, a prominent Hamas figure who is serving 35 life sentences and an additional 200 years, completed his 21st year in Israeli jails last May. He was kidnaped on May 8, 2002.
