Worldwide protests call for end to Israeli ceasefire breaches in Gaza

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A growing global mobilization in solidarity with Gaza has entered a new phase, with three consecutive days of coordinated international action launched on Friday, February 6, and continuing through Saturday and Sunday, February 7 & 8, 2026.

Activists and solidarity groups across multiple countries are taking part in demonstrations aimed at breaking international silence and amplifying the voice of Gaza amid ongoing Israeli violations.

The mobilization comes as public anger escalates over repeated Israeli breaches of the ceasefire agreement, continued military attacks on civilians in Gaza, and parallel assaults in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. Organizers also cited systematic violations against Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails as a key driver of the renewed protests.

The Palestinian Scholars Association called on Arab and Muslim communities, as well as supporters of justice worldwide, to adopt Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as permanent weekly days of global action. The group said sustained popular, legal, and media pressure is essential to keep Gaza firmly on the international agenda.

Campaign activities include marches, sit-ins outside embassies and diplomatic missions, gatherings in public squares, and the widespread display of Palestinian flags and pro-Gaza slogans. Coordinated strikes and protest actions have also been reported in several countries as part of a unified pressure campaign targeting the Israeli government.

Online mobilization has accompanied street actions, with activists using social media to encourage participation. Palestinian activist Moatasem Zaqqut described the mobilization as a “moral duty that cannot be delayed,” urging people to break their silence and take to the streets.

Osman al-Hafi emphasized the symbolic power of the chosen days, saying that “Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are three days that could change the fate of a nation.”

The Palestine Social page on X said global demonstrations are driven by the belief that silence has become complicity, warning that ignoring public calls for justice today will carry consequences tomorrow.

Activist Mohammad al-Qasem stressed that street action goes beyond symbolic solidarity, calling it the most effective tool for forcing Gaza back into global consciousness.

Organizers said the protests aim to intensify international pressure to halt Israeli aggression, enforce the ceasefire, immediately open crossings, allow urgent humanitarian aid, and begin reconstruction.

According to the Government Media Office in Gaza, Israeli occupation forces have committed 1,520 ceasefire violations since October 10, 2025, resulting in 559 Palestinians martyred and around 1,500 wounded.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US and European backing, has carried out genocide in Gaza, killing and wounding more than 239,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, leaving thousands missing, displacing hundreds of thousands, and devastating much of the enclave.
