OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestinian Information Center) Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has claimed responsibility for the shooting operation in Occupied Jerusalem that killed at least six Jewish settlers and injured others on Monday morning.
In a statement on Tuesday, al-Qassam Briagades said two of its fighters, Muthanna Omar and Mohamed Taha, carried out the attack “in response to the Israeli occupation’s ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.”
Both al-Qassam fighters were killed in an exchange of fire with Israeli forces.
The Israeli occupation police said two gunmen opened fire at a bus stop and then at a bus near the Ramot Junction, close to the illegal Ramot settlement in east Jerusalem, before security personnel shot back, killing them at the scene.
Yesterday’s resistance operation took place amid heightened Israeli violence and crimes in Jerusalem and the West Bank, and a relentless genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
