GAZA, (The Palestinian Information Center) The Palestinian Ministry of Health has accused the Israeli occupation army of deliberately hindering the World Health Organization’s (WHO) efforts to provide fuel for hospitals in Gaza Governorate.
“The occupation authorities are blocking the entry of fuel supplies needed to operate electric generators in Gaza’s hospitals, which will bring health services to a complete halt,” the health ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The ministry warned that the ongoing fuel crisis threatens to bring medical services to a standstill at hospitals, including Al-Sahaba Hospital and the Public Aid Hospital, noting that ambulances and the central oxygen station are expected to stop working within a few days.
It appealed to all concerned parties to intervene immediately and ensure the safe delivery of fuel necessary for the operation of hospitals in Gaza Governorate.
