GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)Journalist and activist Saleh Al-Jaafrawi was killed on Sunday while reporting the huge destruction that was left behind by the Israeli military aggression in Gaza City.
Medical sources confirmed that the body of martyr journalist Saleh Al-Jaafrawi, who was shot and killed by collaborators while covering the destruction in southern Gaza City, was transferred to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital.
Communication with Al-Jaafrawi had been lost on Sunday evening during his coverage of Israeli crimes in the Al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza. Eyewitnesses reported that “outlaws” shot Saleh and stole his belongings.
Local and family sources added that Saleh had received “death and assassination threats” from the Israeli occupation throughout the war, “until the mission was carried out today by outlaws in the Al-Sabra area.”
Al-Jaafrawi was a prominent Palestinian activist, influencer, and journalist who worked tirelessly to document and share the Palestinian narrative and the unfolding genocide in Gaza, highlighting the crimes committed against civilians and displaced families.
In a related development, a senior official from the Interior Ministry in Gaza confirmed that several security personnel were killed in an attack carried out by an armed militia in Gaza City.
In a statement to Al Jazeera, the source noted that security forces had surrounded the militia group inside Gaza and were taking action to apprehend its members. The official also revealed that the militia had killed a number of displaced civilians returning from southern Gaza to Gaza City.
