SANA’A (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Yemen’s armed forces on Tuesday claimed responsibility for launching a ballistic missile at Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport in central Israel.
In a televised statement aired by Yemen’s al-Masirah satellite channel, military spokesperson Yehya Sariee said they had “carried out a special military operation targeting Lod Airport in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic ballistic missile of the Palestine-2 type.”
According to Sariee, the missile strike “successfully achieved its goal” by forcing “millions of settlers into shelters and disrupting airport operations.”
Sariee also claimed that drone launches targeted what he described as “three sensitive sites” in Eilat, Tel Aviv, and Ashkelon.
The spokesman reiterated Yemen’s position that it would continue its supportive military operations until the aggression against Gaza stops and the blockade is lifted.
For its part, the Israeli occupation army said a missile fired from Yemen towards Israel triggered air raid sirens in the central and southern parts of Israel before it was intercepted.
