SANA’A (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Yemen’s armed forces fired on Friday two missiles towards Haifa City in northern Israel (1948 occupied Palestine) and an Israeli airbase in response to the ongoing war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
“We carried out a military operation targeting a vital Israeli target in Haifa … using a hypersonic ballistic missile,” military spokesman Yehya Sariee said in a statement aired by Yemen’s al-Masirah satellite channel.
Sariee said the missile strike on Haifa was the second operation in a matter of hours.
Earlier on the same day, Yemen’s armed forces also announced the launch of a hypersonic ballistic missile in the predawn hours at northern Israel, targeting the Ramat David Airbase southeast of Haifa.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army reported it had intercepted two missiles fired from Yemen, adding that the security authorities had circulated an early warning to large parts of northern Israel, including the Haifa metropolitan area.
The armed forces in northern Yemen have been targeting Israeli targets since November 2023 in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza who are facing an all-out genocidal war.
